Identification of Processing – How do we collect personal information?

In accordance with applicable personal information protection regulations, including the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Bill 25),

Ferblanterie Elite collects personal information in its possession when the user:

  • Completes forms on the website;

  • Responds to a survey;

Personal Information Collected – What personal information do we collect?

Ferblanterie Elite collects information when users visit its website, primarily through the completion of online forms.

Purpose – What are the personal information we collect used for?

The personal information requested from users is used for the following purposes:

  • Where a service contract is entered into through the website, to create and maintain the business relationship and to carry out activities and provide the services of Ferblanterie Elite (including, without limitation, the management, administration, delivery, and improvement of services).
  • To send newsletters, as well as commercial communications, promotions, and/or advertising from Ferblanterie Elite, whether occasionally or periodically. Consent

By providing personal information to Ferblanterie Elite, the user declares that they accept, fully and without reservation, the processing of such information by Ferblanterie Elite. Ferblanterie Elite processes user data on the following legal bases:
(i) the conclusion of a service contract between the user and Ferblanterie Elite, in accordance with the terms and conditions made available to the user upon completion of the service request form (prior to any engagement), which the user may accept, after having reviewed them, by checking the designated box; and
(ii) the user’s free, informed, and unequivocal consent, provided after reviewing this privacy policy, in which Ferblanterie Elite informs the user of the processing that will be carried out with their personal information, and which may be given by checking the designated box included in the service request form.

Any processing of personal information not covered by one of the legal bases described above will only be carried out if Ferblanterie Elite deems it necessary to protect a legitimate interest and only insofar as such processing does not infringe upon the user’s fundamental rights and freedoms.

Retention – How long do we keep your information?

Personal information will be destroyed or archived once it is no longer strictly necessary or relevant for the purposes detailed in the Purpose section above. In particular, personal information will be retained for as long as the business relationship remains in effect (and to the extent that the user has not previously requested its deletion) and for the period during which obligations, compensation, and/or liabilities may arise in connection with the business relationship or the services provided. Ferblanterie Elite will keep the personal information collected private and confidential and will not use it for purposes other than those set out in the Purpose section above. Ferblanterie Elite requires its employees and third-party service providers who have access to database content to sign confidentiality and personal information processing agreements (or includes such obligations in the service agreements entered into with such providers, as described below).

Security – How do we protect your information?

Ferblanterie Elite declares its intention to implement the technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of personal information, in accordance with the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Bill 25), in order to prevent unauthorized alteration, loss, access, or processing.

Ferblanterie Elite does not guarantee absolute privacy in the use of the website, as it cannot be ruled out that unauthorized third parties may gain access to such information. The user acknowledges that existing technical security measures are not infallible and that, even when all reasonable security precautions are taken, manipulation, destruction, and/or loss of information may occur.

In the event of a security incident involving a significant risk to the data subject, Ferblanterie Elite will notify the competent supervisory authority without delay and will inform affected users of the corrective and mitigation measures implemented and/or to be implemented.

Ferblanterie Elite is not responsible for the loss or deletion of data by users. Likewise, Ferblanterie Elite assumes no responsibility for any damages that may be caused by computer viruses.

Finally, users are encouraged to take steps to protect their own information. Ferblanterie Elite strongly recommends that users take all necessary precautions to protect their personal information while online, including periodically changing passwords using a combination of letters and numbers and ensuring that a secure browser is used.

Data Subject Rights and Procedures for Exercising Them – What rights do I have as a data subject?

The data subject user may, at any time, exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection, restriction of processing, portability, confidentiality, and deletion with respect to their personal information, in accordance with the provisions of the Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information (Act 25).

Ferblanterie Elite may request the information necessary to verify the identity of the data subject.

The deletion of certain data will not be carried out where it could cause harm to the rights or legitimate interests of third parties, or where there is a legal obligation to retain such data.

Training – Do we provide training?

Ferblanterie Elite personnel whose duties involve the processing of personal information receive training in order to ensure better protection of personal information and of the rights of data subjects.

Links to Third Parties – Does our Site contain links to other sites?

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, with or without advertising content, whose privacy policies are independent from those of Ferblanterie Elite. Linked sites are not affiliated with Ferblanterie Elite, and their existence does not imply, under any circumstances, any suggestion, invitation, or recommendation to visit the destination sites, nor any link or association between Ferblanterie Elite and those sites.
